Designed by Atkins Global and opened by HRH The Princess Royal, the 30 Million Charnock Bradley Building houses University of Edinburgh's Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies - a world-leading centre of excellence for animal science

The internal design of the top floor was developed to suit the aggressive growth strategy of occupants, Ingenza -  recognised as one of the most dynamic European industrial biotech companies

Design team Atkins worked with Indeglås to develop a full height glazed screen system which would accommodate the flexibility, security and confidentiality of this state of the art laboratory.

DEKO GV 1290 was used to ensure the acoustic and demountable properties required to enable the client to rearrange layouts to suit future development without compromise.

Fit-out contractor Clark Contracts were appointed to manage the coordination of the specialist interior trades required to complete the architect's vision within a challenging timeframe. This project showcases the ongoing relationship Indeglås is developing with both the design team and contractor.

Value

£135,000

We wanted the building to be loose and flexible, and able to accommodate any use the tenants envision in future, optimising the space for collaboration and innovation. Our design allowed for open spaces that help build a community between the building users
